Congratulations on your purchase of a Ray Padula 1-Zone electronic timer! Follow these instructions to properly program and use your timer. These instructions apply to the RP-TMOZ timer, pictured below.

Installing the Batteries

Your timer requires two AA (1.5V) batteries (not included). Batteries must be installed prior to programming.

1. Remove the battery tray from the back of the timer by gently sliding it outwards.

2. Insert two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries and re-insert the tray into the timer.

NOTE:
• Replace batteries when low battery icon flashes.
• Do not mix new and old batteries.
• Do not mix standard alkaline batteries and rechargeable batteries.

Step 1
SET CLOCK

This will set the current time

• Rotate the dial to SET CLOCK
• Clock display will be in AM or PM
• Press the + or - button to advance or reverse the clock time.

Helpful Hint! Hold down the button to quickly advance.

START TIME

This will set the time watering starts

• Rotate the dial to START TIME
• Press the + or - button to set the start time.

Helpful Hint! Hold down the button to quickly advance.

HOW LONG

This will set how long the timer waters for

• Rotate the dial to HOW LONG
• Press the + or - button to set the length of watering time (0 to 55 second, or 1 minute to 6 hours)

HOW OFTEN

This will set how often the timer waters

• Rotate the dial to HOW OFTEN
• Press the + or - button to set the frequency of watering to come on.
• This allows you to set the program to repeat every 10 or 30 seconds, or 1, 3, 5 minutes or 1, 2, 4, 12 hours, or 1 to 7 days.

RUN

• Rotate the dial to RUN
• Timer will turn ON and turn OFF automatically, according to your program.

NOTE: Timer must be in the RUN position to to water.

OFF

• Turning the dial to the OFF position to temporarily turn off watering.

• Turn the dial to OFF position to turn off a manual watering cycle. Once watering stops, turn the dial back to RUN for continued automatic watering.

Note: The timer must be in the RUN position to automatically water

MANUAL WATERING

• To water instantly without interrupting the programmed cycle, press the manual ON/OFF button.

• Press the + or - button to adjust from 0 to 240 minutes of watering time.

• To end manual watering, turn the dial to the OFF position. Once watering stops, rotate the dial back to the RUN position.

RAIN DELAY

When rain is in the forecast, a watering delay to the program can be set.

• With the dial in the RUN position, pressing the rain delay button will cause a delay to the program.

• Delays of 0, 24, 48, and 72 hours are possible. Delay times can be changed by pressing the rain delay button again. Delay time chosen will be set within 5 seconds without any further pressing.

• Display will flash between clock and hours remaining before delay ends.

• To remove the delay, turn the dial to OFF, and then back to RUN, or reduce the delay time to 0.

INSTALLATION

Once your timer is programmed, attach to any outdoor faucet, and turn the faucet on. Faucet should remain in the ON position.

Electronic timers should be attached directly to the faucet only, and not to any accessories, sprinklers, or splitters. Some accessories are not designed to remain under pressure for long periods of time, and may burst or leak. This could cause damage to your timer.

Always make sure the washer is securely in place in the coupling before attaching your timer to the faucet. Washers are designed to prevent leaks by providing a water-tight seal. Filter washers have a unique mesh covering, designed to trap debris preventing accidental damage.
