Ray Padula is committed to ensuring our Supply Chain reflects our values and standards and we support the goals of the California Transparency in Supply Chain Act of 2010. This requires any distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers that supply product and conduct business in California to disclose their efforts to eliminate human trafficking and slavery from their supply chains. Ray Padula Lawn and Garden relies on a global network of supply chain partners to support our operations and require all our suppliers to maintain the highest standard of quality and ethical practices, and we do not accept poor working or manufacturing conditions in any form. Ray Padula reserves the right to terminate any business and supply agreement with any supplier who does not adhere to such conduct and voluntarily provides the following disclosures as they apply to the California Transparency in Supply Chain.

We work with established third-party organizations such as BSCI, Intertek, and Bureau Veritas to assess and monitor risks and compliance within our supply chain in addition to our own internal site visits for evaluation.

These audits assess compliance with labor, health and safety, environmental, and ethical standards. Audits may be announced or unannounced depending on the program, size of the supplier, and region.

We require our suppliers to comply with applicable laws and regulations related to labor practices, human rights, environmental and ethical business conduct. Suppliers participating in audit programs must meet or exceed the standards established by the applicable auditing body, our internal standards, the requirements of our business partners (i.e. retailers of our products), as well as all local laws and regulations.

Suppliers that fail to meet required standards may be subject to corrective action plans, remediation requirements, or termination of the business relationship. While we typically provide up to a year for suppliers to correct minor issues, we consider things such as forced/prison labor, human trafficking, child labor, physical or sexual abuse, bribery, coercion, slavery, or similar acts to be zero-tolerance issues requiring immediate corrective action, and/or the termination of current business agreements depending on the circumstances.
