Congratulations on your purchase of a Ray Padula PRO metal hose repair kit! Follow these instructions to properly install your repair. These instructions apply to the hose, male, and female thread repairs (RP-RIHR-3, RP-RIFR-3 and RP-RIMR-3), pictured below.

Note: Depending on where you purchased your repair kit, the "RP-" prefix may be substituted.

In order to properly install your hose repair kit, the following tools are needed:

1. Phillips head screw driver, for kit installation

2. Utility knife, or pipe / hose cutters to cut the damaged area of your hose being repaired.

Carefully remove your hose repair kit from its packaging.

1. Remove all product packaging, and secure all individual product parts.

2. When fully disassembled, your metal hose repair kit will include (4) half collars, (4) stainless steel screws, and (1) hose coupling insert.

Step 1
Cut away Hose Damage

Using a utility knife or pipe/hose cutter, carefully cut away the damaged section of the hose.

Be sure have two clean edges on either side of the hose.

Step 2
Insert Hose Repair

Insert the hose repair coupling into one side of the garden hose. Be sure to insert all the way to the raised stopper portion.

Once inserted, attach the other side of the hose.

Helpful Hint! Warming your hose in the sun prior to installation will allow for easier coupling attachment.

Attach Collars

Place collars around each end of the hose, right below the raised stopper portion of the inserted coupling.

Then, tighten the stainless steel screws to secure the collars together. There are a total of four (4) screws.

Congratulations!

Your garden hose is repaired.
